Highlights from our day:
In Phys Ed we played Fish and Frogs - Lauren
In Art we made a Beautiful Oops with the start of a splatter of paint - Cayden
In math we used a new tool called Shakers and we used the shaker to find the Friends of 10. (You can check out the picture of the game and shaker below!) We also worked on a word problem about towers - Zoie
Today in math we were worked on a math ticket(problem) about a tower. We had to draw the towers to figure out who had the tallest one - Muhammad
I can apply mental math strategies for basic addition facts to 18
For math, we continue to practise our Friends of 10. Friends of 10 are the 2 "friendly numbers" that when added together make 10. For example: 8 +2, 6 + 4, 7 + 3
This is one of our mental math strategies that we need to continue to develop and practise. You can easily practise at home as well, and can just use a single dice or a deck of cards!
