Picture Day

Here are a few highlights from Picture Day today:
We went to the gym to have our pictures taken - Hanna
Today was our first time having Phys Ed outside in Grade 2 and we played a game with gold and you had to steal gold from the other teams - Cayden 
In math we worked on a math problem about turtles and finding out how many turtles Cassia had left after selling some turtles to her friends - Zoie

We also spent our afternoon talking and discussing why we think people might have decided to live in the Arctic.  This is a very complex questions and has left us with more questions like, what did people eat?  What did people wear for clothes?  What did people build their houses out of?  How did people live in the cold weather?  Feel free to keep the conversation going at home.

We watched a few videos of the Arctic, which gave us more ideas about what the land looks like.  We then worked on our Arctic flap in our visual journals and added words and pictures to describe the land.
